Beware What You Carry on Your Shoulders

People get aged not because of their age, but because they are carry so much on their shoulders?  People get stressed not because….they have problems but because they carry them forever.  People remain unhappy throughout their life, not because they haven't got any moment of happiness, but because they carry sadness on their shoulders.  People fail in their life not because they are not capable enough, but because they carry ' opinions of others on their shoulders about themselves.  There is so much to interpret the burden we carry on our shoulders that…. is not really worthy to be placed on our shoulders.  But still we carry because sometimes we feel that carrying them will prevent us from falling into the same pit again. Sometimes we carry to show ourselves or to give a face to our struggles.  But we couldn't get the lessons from our struggles or hardships we got in our lives, and we continue to carry the burden.   Remember… why you are h...

Let go to grow: Why letting go is essential for a happier life

“ Let come what comes, let go what goes. See what remains.”
                                           Ramana Maharshi

“Let go in life” seems to be a simple phrase, but it has the ability to change the course of your whole life.
Holding things in life restricts us from exploring different opportunities. It keeps us in a narrow minded world, where we have a short and bounded vision about life. It not only restricts our growth but also acts as a roadblock to our happier world.
Because we believe more in controlling everything, losing grip on life means losing ourselves.

While in reality “letting go in life” opens new gates for you, it brings peace in your life, it encounters you to countless opportunities to grow and a more happier and satisfactory life.

Letting go shift your life course from hardship to healing, pain to progress, suffering to self discovery and struggle to success.

Why let go is essential for a happier life

1.Any set back in life is not bigger than “you”

Whatever you do in your life or what you want to achieve in life, is a part of your life. You are not supposed to associate yourself with what your dreams are or to what extent you can go in life.
Similarly, success and failures in life are part of your life that is not you. They don't define you.

Then why to worry about life? Why to remain fearful about uncertainties?
Remember life is unpredictable… how it can define us.
We are much bigger than any setback in our lives. And our happiness is what we should give priority.

2.Holding things eats away your peace, energy and time

The average person in developed or developing countries live 80-100 years. And in this life span he went through a lot. If he is supposed to keeps a tight hold on everything, then how can he save his energy, peace and time for new things in life?
Holding things literally consumes “you”. It leaves no room for growth as it consumes all your energy and time. It only brings disappointment in life. It eats away your happiness.
You are likely to spend your precious years sticking where you do not belong.

That's why let go of things in life as soon as you understand that you do not belong there. Life is much more … as your happiness.

3.Holding things in life brings pain and stress

When things are not turning as per your ways in life or you are trying hard for the same things over the years, you are struggling a lot in life, still nothing coming out of it.

This will eat your confidence and your self esteem slowly. It will naturally attract stress in your life and prolonged periods of stress transform into pain. Pain that not only eats away your happiness but also hollows you from inside.
So, when things are not turning your way, have the courage to let go and move forward.
You are not here to experience pain, you are here to grow, learn new things and most importantly you deserve to be happy in life.

4. Holding things distance you from mindfulness

Holding things in life attracts overthinking and overthinking causes restlessness. It either keeps you in the past or future. And when you are living in the past and future… your present is likely to get lost.
And the present moment or mindfulness is key to our happiness. Because our happiness depends upon small day-to-day things. Living in the present moment is what makes our lives happier.

5.Holding things in relationships distance you from your loved ones

Our relationships or our loved ones add flavors in our life. They bring the joy of enjoyment. Without them life is colourless and tasteless.
When you hold grudges in relationships or you are reluctant to forgive them for their mistakes, it will ultimately bitterly affect your relation with your loved ones. Slowly it will create distance among you and also steals away your happiness.
So, remember letting go not only saves our relationship but also keeps your happiness garden evergreen in desperate seasons.

Living with them is wholesome. And that's what happiness is.

6.Holding suffering restrict your path to healing and happiness

We all went through some kind of suffering in our lives and that is part of the process.
What is more important is healing… for that you must have to let go of your suffering, till then you can't heal yourself.
Because suffering restricts the path of healing. Letting go of suffering creates a new space… where the healing is supposed to spread its roots deep.
And when you are going to heal then only growth happens and then only happiness makes a way to you.

7.Holding things in life deteriorate your physical and mental health

In today's scenario health is our the most important asset. On this your work, wealth and success depends upon. Without good physical and mental health your existence is nothing.
And holding things in life directly impacts your mental health and indirectly your physical health.
Because when we take so much pressure in life, overtime becomes a mental issue.
And if you are taking your mental health lightly you will end up in the loop of non communicable diseases like cardiac issues, diabetes, high blood pressure etc. Ultimately your physical health comes at risk.
That's why let go of what is gone. Don't try to hold it tightly. Life has much more for us.

8. Holding things in life will restrict your vision, mission and opportunities in life

By holding means stuck, having a narrow vision about life. By holding means doubt upon your abilities and capabilities. By holding means neglecting the opportunities that are coming your way.
By holding means… letting go of your life. Letting go of opportunities to grow in life. Letting go of opportunities to harness happiness in life.

That's why let go if things, expand your vision and mission in life.

 Key takeaways

You got only one life. You are not here to be stuck. You are here to learn. If one thing is not working out, move to another. Focus on starting again and starting fresh.

Why waste “yourself” in holding?

This is applicable not in your career but also in relations or every aspect of your life.
Remember life is too short to hold things… so, just let go of things for you and for your happiness.
