I wish I cared less: The Art of letting life be

When I was in school, I feared public speaking to death because I was not well versed in English. Most of the time I didn't get a chance to speak because our class was so large. But when nothing else worked out, I had to speak. Things often got worse. I worried like hell. I could not focus on other things for the time being. Along with this, another matter of concern was “my image”. If I fumbled or couldn't speak well, how would I face my teachers and classmates? Now I wonder, what a stupid person I was? How under confident I was? I worried about the things that are just a cakewalk for most of you and for me now.  What if I had been a little more confident? How much stress could I have avoided in my childhood?  Now I understand that it was all in my imagination ... .Instead of worrying, I could have focused on improving my English speaking. Sometimes I wish I could go back in time and speak the way I do today? But, I know I can't. As the time and that platform a...

Failures are the best thing that ever happened to me

Like most of you, I also feared failures to death. I used to think “ Failure means the end of life, it means you are good for nothing. There is no point in living, if you fail in life.”

I used to believe that if you couldn't clear a prestigious exam that gets you name, fame and money in life, you are doomed to be unhappy for the rest of your life. You are going to lose your face not only in front of your family but also in society. You are no longer entitled to remain present in social gatherings. You are entitled to fail in everything in your life. You are entitled to remain unhappy and dissatisfied all your life. You are entitled to achieve nothing significant in your life.
But wait, these are your thoughts or your reality. This is your overthinking or self reflection.

How do we know that this is our reality? On what parameters you are deciding “your worth”.

It is also quite possible that what you consider failures are the stepping stones for you to reach on the top or the system that built you to achieve significant milestones in your life.

See… everything is possible. It is just what meaning you attach to your life events.
This understanding gives me the understanding of failures in my life… .

Failure closes the doors where I was not supposed to enter..

Sometimes we hold things so tightly that we try to find our place where we don't really belong. We keep rejecting other opportunities that are coming in our way. We see little with the limited lenses of our perspectives. We keep holding until we fail, until all doors of our entry are finally closed. Until we have no option but to leave it.

This also happened with me and everybody else who like me is trying to enter into a place where they really do not belong.

But we are humans, we do not generally see the bigger picture in life or we don't know the future. That's why we keep trying, until all the doors are closed permanently or we have no other option but to leave. We keep knocking on the wrong door.

But our failure…  closes that door permanently and bring back to us where we belong. Our failures forced us to look into other available opportunities, it forced us to explore new things in our lives. Sometimes it is the best thing that ever happened to us. We achieve what is destined for us. We reach where we belong.

My failures bring me out of mud and place me where… I truly belong, where I am all by myself. Where I am not only learning new things but also attaining the happiest state of my mind and my life.

That's why failure is the best thing that ever happened to me Or to us.

Failure got me the taste of life

Life is uncertain, life is boring. Life is unpredictable, sometimes it can be disastrous. Life is hard, it is not perfect either. Life is not ideal, rather it is a bumpy road.

Similarly, you are not perfect, you can fail. There are some things you are not good at. Sometimes you overestimate your capabilities. You consider yourself worthy of all good things in life. You consider yourself worthy of all success your dream of. But life has something else to offer… and that is “failure”.

Remember there will be someone who is always going to be better, successful and wealthier than you. There are going to be people who are more capable than you,who are going to achieve what they dream of.
We are merely a small creature, a thousand times smaller than our single hair in this big bountiful universe.
And our failures bring this understanding about life. Without them we can't really get the taste of life.

Failure teaches you to accept yourself the way you are. Failure teaches you to be proud of your struggles irrespective of what others think of you.

Failure teaches us to respect ourselves… for the storms we survive in our life. Failure gives us the real taste of our life.

Failure get me close to myself

Sometimes we live in a bubble. We live in our own world. Without considering life outside our bubble. We keep ignoring ourselves or cover our shortcomings with iron curtains. We intentionally hide ourselves from us. We don't want to confront the realities of life. We don't want to face ourselves. We don't want to see our limitations.
And then we fall into the bottomless pit of our failures.

Then we have nothing but to learn from our failures. Our failures not only bring us back to life. But also present a clear picture of ourselves in front of us. They not only broke the bubble but also made us aware about real life phenomena by making us close to ourselves.

Failures make us aware of ourselves. It makes us identify our strengths and weaknesses. Failures exposed our capacity to survive the worst. It exposed our limitations to us. It exposed our emotional resilience to hardships in life.
Ultimately, failures get us close to ourself.

Failure make me to live more

Life is short. Our time is limited. Some ungrateful events don't define our identity. We can't hold our failures forever. We can't regret the things that we haven't done to achieve the best in our life.

Things happen… life happens. We are not supposed to be stuck there for our lifetime. We have to move, we have to live our life. We have to enjoy life to its fullest, irrespective of our achievement and success. We get only one life. Life is bigger than our failures. Failures are a part of life….. not life itself.

And these insights about life… you are going to get when you are going to fail. When you are going to lose your dream. When you are going all alone. When you have no shoulders to cry upon. When you have no one to give assurance. When you have no emotional support.

Then you have no one but… you. Then you have nothing but to reflect upon yourself. Then you have nothing to lose. Then you have no option but to live more. Then you have no regrets but to live your life fully.
That's why failures sometimes put us on the path of a happy and satisfactory life.

Key takeaways

Ultimately, failures teaches you “ That your life is far more bigger than your failures, and teachings of your failures are far more visionary and worthy than your success itself.”

Failures not only pave the way for your growth but also bring the best out of you. Failures act like an adversities in your life that forces you to discover the solution to survive.
Failures are nothing but a way forward in your life.

Beware what you carry on shoulders
