I wish I cared less: The Art of letting life be

When I was in school, I feared public speaking to death because I was not well versed in English. Most of the time I didn't get a chance to speak because our class was so large. But when nothing else worked out, I had to speak. Things often got worse. I worried like hell. I could not focus on other things for the time being. Along with this, another matter of concern was “my image”. If I fumbled or couldn't speak well, how would I face my teachers and classmates? Now I wonder, what a stupid person I was? How under confident I was? I worried about the things that are just a cakewalk for most of you and for me now.  What if I had been a little more confident? Poem: Oh My Dear Future

Oh my dear future,

I came in the rain to find you,

I got all wet for you,

I came barefoot,

But I couldn't find you,

As you live in my imagination.

Oh my dear future,

I crossed the ocean to catch you,

I crossed the forest to search you,

But I couldn't succeed,

As you live in disguise.

Oh my dear future,

I get lost in overthinking to track you,

I fight with myself to make you,

But I can't succeed,

As you live far away.

Oh my dear future,

I sacrifice my present to bring you,

I invest my energy to create you,

But I can't welcome you,

As you take too long to come.

Oh my dear future,

I lost all my friends for you,

I lost all adventure to direct you,

But still, you get lost,

As you find your own path.

Oh my dear future,

Oh my dear future.

You only live in my imagination.
